Tiger released in Kazakhstan in move to grow population | DW News


A Russian Amur tiger was released in Kazakhstan as part of a project to restore the animals to the region. Caspian tigers, which are closely related to the newly introduced Amur tiger, populated the country until the 1940s when the last one was spotted alive, the World Wildlife Fund says.
