Wildfires spark calls for more EU funds | DW news
Calls are growing for more European Union funding to support efforts to combat wildfires raging across several countries – with more breaking out every day. More and more countries are reporting out-of-control fires, including Greece, Turkey, Portugal and the UK. DW’s Brent Goff spoke to DW correspondent Rosie Birchard in Bordeaux, while DW’s Nicole Frölich talked with Francesca Di Giuseppe from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts.
