Why ‘Entourage’ gave Ari Emanuel anxiety
Hollywood agent Ari Emanuel says seeing himself portrayed on the HBO show “Entourage” gave him anxiety.
The character Ari Gold was based on Emanuel, who has built an entertainment industry empire as CEO of TKO, which owns the WWE and the UFC.
Jeremy Piven “did an incredible job. I mean, he’s hysterical, it’s unbelievable,” he told PBS News’ Amna Nawaz. “But back then it was, the situations, how he acted, gave me anxiety.”
Now more than a decade after the series finale, Emanuel said he is watching the show and “can see why it was a hit.”
