Trump appears to have a new name for New Mexico
President Donald Trump posted a map of New Mexico with “Mexico” crossed out and replaced with “America” on social media, then followed up with a video about the name change.
Although the president does have the authority to change the names of geographic locations like Lake Ontario in the US government’s database, he cannot legally rename a state.
