Nepal’s environment minister demands climate action after deadly floods | DW News
One month after catastrophic floods killed more than 1,400 people and left thousands missing, Nepal is stepping up its campaign for climate justice. Environment Minister Geeta Chaudhary tells DW the country is seeking $20 million from the UN-backed Loss and Damage Fund and will take its demands to upcoming global climate talks. She spoke to DW’s senior correspondent Shalu Yadav in Kathmandu.
