LIVE: European Space Agency launches earth observation satellites into orbit
A Vega-C rocket carrying the European Space Agency’s FLEX Earth Explorer mission and the Copernicus Sentinel-3C satellite launches from Europe’s Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana. FLEX, ESA’s first mission dedicated to measuring photosynthetic activity from space, will monitor plant health and ecosystem productivity, while Sentinel-3C will continue long-term environmental monitoring of the Earth’s oceans, land, ice and atmosphere.
