Food safety violations have been flagged at two luxury hotels in Delhi’s Aerocity — JW Marriott Hotel New Delhi Aerocity and Andaz Delhi — after inspections by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). Authorities issued notices citing serious hygiene lapses, including expired food, poor sanitation, pest infestation and licensing violations. At Andaz, officials seized and destroyed nearly 87 kg of expired sweets, while inspections revealed cockroaches near freezers and contaminated kitchen areas. At JW Marriott, a two-day inspection found 59 deficiencies, including fungal growth on food, unclean utensils, pest infestations and issues in multiple kitchens. Officials also flagged labelling violations and missing regulatory approvals.
