Mistrust is becoming a major obstacle to controlling Congo’s worst-ever Ebola outbreak in North Kivu, where cases are rising, and around 60% of patients are dying, according to government figures. That’s despite signs that transmission is easing in some of the worst-affected areas in neighboring Ituri, where the outbreak began. Clement Bonnerot explains why.
