CNN barred from Air Force One despite judge order
Broadcast outlets chose not to show footage of President Donald Trump’s travels to Texas and Oklahoma on Thursday after the White House abruptly removed CNN from its press pool duties for the trip.
Days earlier, CNN was also barred from flying on Air Force One for a visit to Tennessee.
Last week, a judge blocked the administration’s ban on CNN and two other media organizations from covering Mr. Trump, but only on the White House grounds.
In a statement provided to the PBS News Hour, the lawyer representing the outlets said, “The White House is persisting in unpredictably and inconsistently implementing the president’s unconstitutional ban on the free press.”
