SpaceX launches 4 astronauts to space station
SpaceX launched four astronauts to the International Space Station from Florida on Thursday.
A 230-foot-tall Falcon 9 rocket powered off the ground for an estimated eight-hour journey, which is faster than any prior U.S. trip to the station.
The crew is made up of two Americans, a Canadian and a Russian cosmonaut. It’s led by Commander Jessica Watkins, the first Black woman to lead a crew to orbit.
Their six-month mission is meant to focus on human health and performance while in space.
