World Cup ‘not a failure’ says France captain Kylian Mbappé
France captain Kylian Mbappé has told CNN’s Amanda Davies there are plenty of lessons to learn from the team’s performance in North America at this summer’s World Cup, insisting their fourth place finish cannot be called a “failure.”
The 27-year-old became the World Cup’s all-time top scorer netting a record-breaking 22nd goal during the third-place playoff against England as Les Bleus just fell short of winning a second World Cup trophy.
