Why the midterms could bring a ‘blue wave’


Will the country see a “blue wave” as a result of the 2026 midterm elections?

“History says that the incumbent party is going to face challenges, but we’ve got some added layers on that history,” Zolan Kanno-Youngs of The New York Times tells moderator Jeffrey Goldberg.

Kanno-Youngs noted a number of the president’s previous promises about affordability, the economy and the war in Iran that have not come to fruition.
