Why Kerzner kept the lights on when Dubai’s hotels emptied

Kerzner International CEO Philippe Zuber says the group chose to protect its rates during the conflict, even as occupancy rates plummeted in March and April.

In an interview with CNBC’s Dan Murphy, Zuber explains why Kerzner refused to shut down through the war and instead trusted that the destination would recover.

“We don’t close. We don’t compromise. We trust the destination, and it will come back,” he said.
