Why a CIA report on Havana Syndrome was rescinded

Earlier this year, then-Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard released a memo criticizing former assessments of Havana Syndrome.

“One thing that came out of the Tulsi Gabbard report was a full rescission of the intelligence community assessments, and that’s a big deal in the intelligence community to have those kinds of reports fully flipped over,” Michael Rey, co-author of “The Havana Syndrome,” told Compass Points host Nick Schifrin.

Compass Points from PBS News analyzes prominent international affairs topics and America’s role in a shifting world, breaking down global conflicts, rising tensions, and their implications for U.S. interests. Visit the PBS News website to watch this week’s episode.
