WATCH: The unclear picture of U.S.-Venezuela oil operations
It has been seven months since an audacious U.S. raid into the heart of Caracas, which turned Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro into a detainee and defendant in a U.S. courtroom.
Since then, the U.S. has focused on expanding access to the world’s largest oil reserves.
Laura Cristina Dib, director for Venezuela at the Washington Office on Latin America, told host Nick Schifrin that there is a “lack of transparency” from both sides on how much oil is being produced and how much money the interim government in Venezuela is receiving from the U.S.
