WATCH: Judge temporarily pauses Paramount-Warner merger


A federal judge in California has paused the merger of Paramount Skydance and Warner Bros. Discovery for at least two weeks.

District Judge Araceli Martínez-Olguín was responding to a request for a temporary restraining order on the deal from 12 Democratic attorneys general, who filed a lawsuit challenging the merger after the Trump administration approved it.

The state attorneys general argue that the $110 billion merger would reduce competition and ultimately lead to higher prices for movie and TV audiences.
