US marks 25 years since 9/11 attacks with tributes across the nation | DW News


25 years after the September 11 attacks, the United States remembers the nearly 3,000 victims killed when Al Qaeda-hijacked planes struck New York, Washington and Pennsylvania. Ceremonies were held at Ground Zero, the Pentagon and Shanksville, with officials, first responders and families paying tribute. President Trump and Vice President JD Vance joined commemorations marking one of the darkest days in US history.
