US President Donald Trump delivered news of a 10-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon after a call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun. The latest war between Israel and Hezbollah broke out after US-Israeli attacks on Iran led Hezbollah to fire rockets into Israel, prompting an Israeli military incursion of southern Lebanon and heavy strikes on Beirut. Both sides have violated a previous ceasefire, in place since November 2024.
