UEFA is preparing criminal legal action against FIFA President Gianni Infantino over a now-scrapped plan to sell stakes in the World Cup and other tournaments to private investors. It has asked a US court for access to FIFA documents and testimony in Florida to support a criminal complaint in Switzerland, alleging the proposal bypassed FIFA’s governance processes.
