U.S. Forces Ban Chinese Automaker BYD From Japan Air Base, Beijing Seethes | Details

The United States armed forces have banned electric vehicles made by Chinese automaker BYD from Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan, citing national security risks. The restriction takes effect on 26 October and applies to all BYD EVs used by base personnel, contractors, commercial operators and local taxis within the facility.
