Alibaba has launched Qwen 3.8 Max, its largest and most capable AI model with 2.4 trillion parameters. It debuted as the top Chinese text model on Arena.AI and ranked second globally in multimodal (image and visual) performance, trailing only Claude Fable 5 variants. Using a Mixture-of-Experts architecture, only 95 billion parameters activate per query for efficiency. It is multimodal and supports a 1 million token context window.
