An island disappeared from satellite imagery in British Columbia, Canada, within a month, sparking a mystery on social media. A spokesperson for the reservoir’s operator told CNN affiliate CBC that the island was likely formed from an accumulation of driftwood, which allowed trees and plants to grow.
