Donald Trump’s nominee, Kevin Warsh, will be sworn in as US Federal Reserve chair today. President Trump will host a White House swearing-in ceremony, highlighting his personal involvement in the appointment. Recent Fed chairs, including Jerome Powell in 2018, were sworn in at the Fed. However, while the president wants lower interest rates, that may not be easy to achieve.
