US equity futures and Treasuries find some relief as investors await the latest inflation data for a signal on whether the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates next week. US diesel prices rose above $6 a gallon for the first time ever, raising the risk of further energy-driven inflation. The US marks 25 years since the September 11 terrorist attacks.
