Stars and Stripes editor just fired by Pentagon speaks out
The editor-in-chief of the “Stars and Stripes” military newspaper who was just fired by the Pentagon is now speaking out in his first interview since his termination. Erik Slaven says he was fired for insubordination after telling CBS news any censorship of news for military service members would cross a “red line.” Slavin tells Erin Burnett he is “proud” to uphold a standard “put into place by General Dwight Eisenhower during World War II.”
