‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ breaks box office record
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” now holds the box office record for the biggest opening weekend in North America.
The latest installment of the web-slinging series brought in $360 million dollars across the U.S. and Canada, topping another Marvel outing: “Avengers: Endgame.” Spidey also teamed up with ‘the odyssey’ to help set a record weekend overall for theaters.
Despite years of decline in theater going, the movie industry is enjoying a strong 2026, with one estimate showing ticket sales up roughly 15-percent over last year.
