‘SO STUPID: Joe SLAMS Trump, GOP for downplaying Putin ally paying for Don Jr. wedding parties
Republican Sen. Bill Cassidy is the latest GOP lawmaker to criticize President Donald Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. for allowing an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin to pay for his post-wedding parties. ProPublica was the first to report that Umar Kremlev paid much of the bill for two nights of parties in the Bahamas back in May, with costs reportedly well into the six figures. In a post acknowledging the report, Donald Trump Jr. and his wife called Kremlev a “dear friend”. Meanwhile, President Trump downplayed the controversy, saying it is “totally allowed” while claiming — without offering proof — that Donald Trump Jr. paid the money back.
