Should organ donations require explicit consent? | DW News


Germany’s one of the few countries in Europe that still have an exclusively “opt-in” system for organ donation – where people have to sign up to become donors – despite long waiting times for more than 8,000 people currently in need of an organ transplant. Now, parliament is debating a change.
