Salary Dissatisfaction Grows: 81% of Indian Employees Plan to Ask for a Raise in 2026, Says Survey
India’s workforce is increasingly dissatisfied with current pay levels, with a new ACCA survey revealing that only 29% of employees are satisfied with their salaries. At the same time, a massive 81% of Indian workers plan to ask for a pay raise within the next 12 months, driven by rising living costs and inflationary pressures.
The survey also found that 68% of Indian employees expect salary hikes of more than 10%, far above the global average. Millennials are leading the push for higher compensation, while employers face growing challenges balancing employee expectations with business growth and profitability.
