Russia not ruling out Ukraine peace talks with U.S.

The Kremlin said Monday that it’s not ruling out future talks between Ukraine, Russia and the United States. But spokesman Dmitry Peskov said it was too early to say when or where they could take place.

That followed a weekend visit to Moscow by U.S. negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The pair then traveled to Ukraine for the first time to meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. No major breakthroughs were announced.

On Tuesday, the Kremlin announced that Putin and President Donald Trump spoke by phone.
