Rubio Takes on Expansive Foreign Policy Role
Bloomberg News State Department reporter Eric Martin joins Bloomberg This Weekend and says Secretary of State Marco Rubio has embraced an unusually broad portfolio in the Trump administration, simultaneously serving as national security adviser while taking leading roles on Venezuela, Cuba and other foreign-policy priorities. Martin tells hosts David Gura and Christina Ruffini that Rubio has largely worked behind the scenes on Iran while adapting his positions to his executive-branch role, a shift examined in Bloomberg Businessweek’s recent profile of the secretary.
