Democratic voters in Michigan will choose between former public health official Abdul El-Sayed and Rep. Haley Stevens for Tuesday’s Senate primary. Many have tried to frame the race as a proxy battle over the future of the Democratic Party: The Establishment versus The Progressives. Pennsylvania Congresswoman Summer Lee who is campaigning on behalf of El-Sayed rejects that notion, saying “people aren’t looking for labels. People are looking for solutions”.
