Remembering PBS programming executive Sylvia Bugg
The PBS family is mourning the passing of one of its own, Sylvia Bugg.
Sylvia most recently served as chief programming executive and general manager for general audience programming.
In a statement, PBS CEO Paula Kerger said Bugg helped shape the programming “that defines our service to the American people.”
“She will be gratefully remembered for her commitment to ensuring public media’s programming reflects a broad range of voices and perspectives.”
Sylvia was a dedicated and passionate leader, and a staunch supporter of our team at the News Hour. She died unexpectedly this weekend at just 55 years old.
