Dolly Parton was well known for her music and iconic fashion, but she was also a successful businesswoman and a generous philanthropist. She began ‘The Dollywood Foundation’ in 1988 and launched her ‘Imagination Library’ program in 1995, inspired by her father, who never learned to read or write. The program has donated more than 330 million books to children across the country. President & Chair of The Dollywood Foundation, Jeff Conyers, joins Morning Joe to discuss the program and all the other ways Parton’s legacy stretched well beyond her music career.
