Ex-Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov served alongside Russian President Vladimir Putin for a number of years. Amid reports that everyday Russians are becoming more frustrated and anxious as the war continues, he breaks down what he thinks of Russia’s strategy, Putin’s mindset and what the west needs to do.
Also, Russia has claimed that it had “gained full control” of the key “fortress belt” city of Kostyantynivka. But outside experts and Ukrainian soldiers who spoke to CNN say Russia’s claims of advancement are exaggerated and come as the Kremlin is likely trying to project a narrative of success to counter the impact of recent Ukrainian strikes inside Russia.
