Protests over Chile’s new far-right leader | DW News
Protests erupted near the Congress in Chile’s port city of Valparaiso when far-right president Jose Antonio Kast gave his first State of the Nation address.
He announced plans to cut spending, strengthen the police, tighten immigration, and strip social benefits from some people with criminal conviction.
