Power outages in Ukraine after Russia attacks power grid

Russia attacked Ukraine’s power grid over the weekend as part of its ongoing campaign to cripple the energy infrastructure before winter. Russia targeted multiple regions from Donetsk to Odesa. Two employees at Ukraine’s largest private energy company were wounded.

The Kremlin reiterated its long standing concern about the United States supplying Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine and said the war has reached a dramatic moment of escalation. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he would use the Tomahawk missiles to further military goals and would not target Russian civilians.
