Pope Leo XIV faces surgery after lung diagnosis | DW News


Pope Leo XIV has revealed that doctors found a localized nodule on his lung and that he will undergo surgery in the coming days. The Vatican says the condition was detected at a very early stage and is expected to require about a week of recovery. But how serious is the diagnosis, and what could it mean for the leader of the world’s 1.4 billion Catholics?
