Parent of teen who died by suicide ‘satisfied’ with Meta settlement


Meta agreed to pay up to $18 billion over the next decade to resolve claims by most U.S. states that it designed Facebook and Instagram to addict children and mislead consumers about their safety. Victoria Hinks, whose daughter died by suicide at the age of 16, said she is “very pleased” by the settlements.
