Paraguay’s ousted leader Santiago Pena has been placed under house arrest after lawmakers impeached him over a banking scandal. He’s accused of channeling public funds into Ueno Bank, which later collapsed. The bank’s failure left nearly half of Paraguayans unable to access their savings.
