OpenAI vs Apple: ChatGPT Maker Hits Back With ‘Receipts’ Over Trade Secrets Lawsuit
The battle between Apple and OpenAI has spilled into the public eye, with the ChatGPT maker fighting back against allegations that it used Apple trade secrets to build its consumer hardware business. OpenAI has rejected the claims and published what it calls the “receipts”, including screenshots of iMessage conversations and emails. The company argues that Apple’s account leaves out key context and says it neither possesses nor wants Apple’s trade secrets. Apple has also sought a preliminary injunction restricting OpenAI and the former employees from accessing, using or disclosing the alleged confidential information while the case proceeds.
