On Cam: In U.S. Commander’s Presence, IAF Chief Says No Official F-35 Offer From U.S.
Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh has addressed speculation surrounding India’s potential acquisition of fifth-generation fighter jets, including the US-made F-35 and Russia’s Su-57. Speaking on camera, the IAF chief said India has not received any official offer from the United States for the F-35, raising questions about Washington’s willingness to provide access to the advanced stealth fighter.
Singh also clarified that no decision has been taken on Russia’s Su-57 fighter jet. His remarks come amid discussions over India’s future combat aircraft requirements and efforts to strengthen the Indian Air Force’s capabilities.
