Nasdaq wants to be the market that never sleeps. 💤

The Nasdaq says it will start trading stocks for 23 hours a day starting December 6.

The move is still subject to SEC approval and comes as the exchange ultimately wants to offer 24/7 trading.

Nasdaq president Tal Cohen says the expansion is a way to “broaden investor access and expand wealth-building opportunities” for everyone.

Rival NYSE has already won SEC approval for a 22-hour day running from 1:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
