Minneapolis Mass Shooting LIVE | At Least 3 Dead, 4 Injured, Including 3 Officers, Shooter Down
Authorities said Minneapolis officers responded to a high-rise apartment in the area of 15 East Grant Street on reports that one person had been shot. Additional 911 calls were also coming in reporting multiple shots fired. Once officers responded to the apartment, they found additional victims and heard more gunfire.
Officers followed the sound of gunfire, and encountered a “haze” that limited their visibility. A total of three officers were injured, two of those by gunfire. The suspected shooter is dead.
Four additional people with apparent gunshot wounds were taken to the hospital. One of those people died from their wounds at the hospital, and another died at the scene. The suspected shooter also died at the scene. All three officers were taken to the hospital. One had a non-life-threatening injury to the leg. Another is in surgery, and the third is being evaluated for a non-life-threatening injury.
