Michelle Yeoh on rise in Chinese films at TIFF
The Toronto International Film Festival featured more Chinese-language and China-produced films than last year, as diplomatic ties between Canada and China show signs of improvement and Asian filmmakers try to reach new audiences.
Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh, who stars in the China-produced film “It’s My Time,” said there’s been more interest in Asian films.
