Meta fined millions for harming children | DW News
A New Mexico court has ordered Meta to pay $567 million and overhaul Facebook and Instagram for teens after finding it created a “public nuisance” by harming children’s mental health. It caps under-18 use at 90 hours a month and bars AI chatbots from romantic chats with children. This is one of more than 40 US states that have currently filed a lawsuit against the company. #dwbusiness
