Mali’s insurgency – how far could it spread?
Countries across Africa’s Sahel are on high alert after jihadis and rebels seized multiple towns and military bases in Mali over the weekend. An alliance of al‑Qaida‑linked fighters and separatists carried out the largest coordinated attack in more than a decade, marking a dangerous escalation in the world’s deadliest region for extremism.
