American woman Lynette Hooker was reported missing in the Bahamas on April 4, 2026, after a night time boat ride with her husband, Brian Hooker. He told authorities his wife fell from their eight-foot dinghy while they sailed from Hope Town to Elbow Cay. After Brian was arrested for questioning, he was released on April 13 and has since left the island. His attorney told CBS News he plans to return to the Bahamas to search for Lynette. Brian has denied any wrongdoing. Here’s a timeline on the case.
