LIVE | Zelensky’s New Trouble? Budanov Faces Corruption Scrutiny Amid Russia War | Ukraine News

A fresh leak has put Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s top aide Kyrylo Budanov under scrutiny amid the widening Energoatom corruption scandal. Leaked charges against Budanov’s deputy Iryna Mudra allege that an unnamed Presidential Office official asked her to help convert cash through controlled companies into legitimate funds to pay bail for former Energy and Justice Minister Herman Halushchenko. The document does not name Budanov, but reports say its description of Mudra’s boss, along with earlier leaked NABU tapes referring to “Kyrylo” and “Kyrylo Oleksiyovych”, appears to point toward him. Zelensky associate Timur Mindich was also allegedly involved in arranging the bail and later sought political control over Sense Bank. How far could Ukraine’s biggest corruption scandal reach into Zelensky’s Presidential Office?
