Venezuelans attend a mass in honor of those killed in the twin earthquakes that struck the country on June 24.
The magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 quakes killed more than 5,000 people, according to authorities, and caused widespread damage to homes, infrastructure and other buildings across northern Venezuela, including in the capital, Caracas. The government estimates that nearly 17,000 people were injured and almost 18,000 remain homeless
